ASNT VT Level II Course Training and certification:

Course Contents:  This course focuses on the fundamentals of light and lighting – Physiology of vision – Fundamentals of Imaging – Visual Weld testing practices – Effect of fatigue – Fiber optic Bore scopes – Documentation of visual testing – Analysis of visual testing. Light Intensity Measurements, evaluating discontinuities in Cast, Rolled, Forged, Welded and inspection of engineering components

This 40-hour course exceeds the instruction outline and criteria specified in the ASNT Recommended Practice SNT-TC-1A, ANSI/ASNT CP-189, and ASNT Standard Topical Outlines for Qualification of Nondestructive Testing Personnel (ANSI/ASNT CP-105).

Visual and Optical Testing theory classes will be organized through online and/or offline and hand-on practical sections will be arranged nearest feasible NDT test center.

Course Objectives: The course objectives are as below:

• Identifying various weld discontinuities
• Understanding the relevant welding technology related to visual inspection
• Understanding the need for documentation in welding
• Familiarity with codes and standards related to inspection requirements
• Carrying out inspection of parent materials and consumables
• Perform a visual inspection of welds, report on them, and assess their compliance with specified code
• Gaining sufficient knowledge to successfully complete the Visual Welding Inspector examinations
