This 40-hour course exceeds the instruction outline and criteria specified in the ASNT Recommended Practice SNT-TC-1A, ANSI/ASNT CP-189, and ASNT Standard Topical Outlines for Qualification of Nondestructive Testing Personnel (ANSI/ASNT CP-105).

Visual and Optical Testing theory classes will be organized through online and/or offline and hand-on practical sections will be arranged nearest feasible NDT test center.

Course Objectives: The course objectives are as below:

  • Identifying various weld discontinuities
  • Understanding the relevant welding technology related to visual inspection
  • Understanding the need for documentation in welding
  • Familiarity with codes and standards related to inspection requirements
  • Carrying out inspection of parent materials and consumables
  • Perform a visual inspection of welds, report on them, and assess their compliance with specified code
  • Gaining sufficient knowledge to successfully complete the Visual Welding Inspector examinations
